Traditional Village Tour

We organize A guided tour of traditional Diola villages around Cap Skirring, they are the indigenous people of Casamance. You will experience their way of life which has changed very little over thousands of years from the way they harvest the rice. The work and  the loads carried by the tribes women which is nearly unbelievable and also the creation of local palm tree wine, which is the favorite occupation of the men.

You will meet the traditional Sickik (Doctor) who will make you a little "gris gris" to take back with you, said to have powers that will give you good luck for the rest of your life.

 Bakine School of Music and Art

Not only for the artist and music lover, we spend some hours with our friends at the Bakine school of music and art.

Here they will demonstrate and encourage you to try,with instruction, all the local instruments of Casamance. You will also learn about the history and influences that go towards creating the local music and sounds that are synonymous with that region of Senegal.

You will also be shown and asked to try a local painting technique call "Batik" made from dye and hot wax.

Horse Riding

Discover Kabrousse and Cap Skirring, ride along beautiful beaches on stunning horses, this wonderful activity is for the novice and the expert, young or old and is organized by a very professional local riding school. A stunning day out seeing Senegal the natural way.
